Looking around at the industry, it seemed that blinds and curtains could be procured one of two ways: online mass-produced cheap products, or a better quality bespoke offering only really available if there was a clever local lady who knew her way around a Singer sewing machine.  We felt there had to be a third route, one that blended very, very good quality, sexy fabric choices and super easy ordering. That route is Pleat.

We make window wear the old fashioned way: with care and a level of attention to detail that would make your Grandma proud.  We only use fabrics that we’d kill to have in our own homes and we remove the fear that comes with online ordering. Put simply, we aim to make your life easier and your home more beautiful, one window at a time.

Our business is a family, headed up by Harriet and her mum Sarah, alongside our two doggie mascots, Merlin and Vera. Having grown up playing in piles and piles of fabric, there’s very little Harriet didn’t learn from her talented seamstress mum about the wonderful world of curtains and blinds.

Coming from a family of makers has taught us exactly what it takes to make beautiful window wear that hangs just right. We lead our team of expert makers, based in the heart of Berkshire, to lovingly hand make every order from scratch. We never cut corners, or scrimp on the details, taking pride in every piece.
