Dr Henno Welgemoed

Dr. Henno Welgemoed is currently the Chief Medical Officer at Pleco Therapeutics BV, a clinical stage biotechnology company, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this, Dr. Welgemoed served as the Group Director of Medical Affairs and Medical Director at Clinigen Group from August 2016 to October 2023, providing medical affairs services. From July 2012 to July 2016, Dr. Welgemoed was the Medical Director at LINK Healthcare, focusing on medical affairs, medicine access, and business development. Earlier experience includes serving as a Family Physician at Medicross Sophiatown and holding various medical roles at Equity Pharma Holdings and HOMEMED, among others. Dr. Welgemoed completed an MBChB in Medicine at the University of Pretoria from 1990 to 1995.
