Greg Lucier

Chairman at Pleno Inc.

Greg Lucier has had an illustrious career in the business world, most notably in the life sciences industry. Greg began their career with Invitrogen Corporation in 2003, where they were appointed Chairman and CEO. Greg transformed the company from a narrow biotechnology tools company into Life Technologies, one of the largest global life sciences companies, with sales reaching $4 billion by 2013.

In 2013, Life Technologies was acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific in a $15.6 billion deal, the largest life science/diagnostic transaction in history. After helping shepherd the deal through global regulatory approvals, Lucier stepped down as Chairman and CEO in February 2014.

Lucier then took on the role of Chairman of the Board at NuVasive in March 2015. Greg held this position until May 2021, when they became Chairman at Pleno Inc.

Greg Lucier received their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Penn State University and their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Harvard Business School.
