Jeffrey Brodin

Jeffrey Brodin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jeffrey is currently an Associate Director at Pleno Inc., starting in August 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Illumina from 2016 to 2021, where they held the positions of Senior Scientist and Scientist 2. Their work at Illumina involved scientific research and development.

Before joining Illumina, Brodin worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Northwestern University from 2013 to 2016. During this time, they focused on developing core-shell nanoparticles for materials science and biomedical applications. Jeffrey also served as a biomaterials subgroup leader, organizing meetings and overseeing graduate student research.

Prior to their postdoctoral work, Brodin was a Graduate Research Assistant at UC San Diego from 2007 to 2013. Jeffrey conducted research as part of their graduate studies. Additionally, they worked as a Contract Researcher at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from 2006 to 2007.

Brodin's career began as an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2005, where they gained initial experience in scientific research.

Jeffrey Brodin completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biochemistry from The College of St. Scholastica between the years 2002 and 2006. Subsequently, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry and Biochemistry at UC San Diego from 2007 to 2013.
