Tom Uhl

Tom Uhl has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies since 2007. Tom is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Pleno Inc. since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Engineer at Edico Genome from October 2014. Tom also has experience as a Co-Founder/Architect at Fi Interactive, Inc, where they were involved in developing useful mobile apps for individuals and retailers.

Before that, they worked as a Principal Engineer at Illumina from May 2018 to July 2022.

Additionally, they have worked on several side projects, including developing a prototype Android app called LifeLogger, which logs and displays a person's mobile activity, and a Google Glass app called GlassSport for action sports enthusiasts.

Tom also has experience as a Senior Principal Engineer at Broadcom, where they developed multiple Android apps for cellular chipset automation testing and was the Test Target Lead for Broadcom's first commercial Android platforms.

Furthermore, they worked as a Software Test Automation consultant at Chumby Industries, where they wrote and executed test suites for a Linux/Flash wi-fi digital photo frame/widget player.

Lastly, they co-founded Velleros, Inc., where they developed a high-capacity emergency alerting system and submitted two apps to the Android Developer's Challenge.

Tom Uhl attended The University of Texas at Dallas from 1989 to 1992, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
