Rafael Goesmann

Rafael Goesmann has a diverse work experience in software development and coaching. Rafael is currently working as a Software Engineer at Plenti since November 2021. Prior to this, Rafael worked at Verizon Connect as a Software Engineer from November 2019 to October 2021. In this role, they developed new features and maintained an app used by around 25k drivers daily. Rafael also developed a feature to automate generating driving history for drivers who fail to log into the app, which previously required 20 full-time staff. Before Verizon Connect, Rafael worked as a Software Developer at Chill Studio from November 2019 to July 2021. Rafael was the sole developer responsible for creating a digital ski pass system and integrating a client's Shopify point of sale system. Rafael's work experience also includes a role as a Software Developer at EPEX Limited from November 2018 to September 2020, where they developed a peer-to-peer platform for buying and selling residential properties. Additionally, Rafael worked as a Software Developer Intern at Verizon Connect from October 2018 to February 2019, where they contributed to maintaining web and mobile apps and implemented multi-lingual capabilities. Prior to their software development roles, Rafael worked as a Tennis Coach at Waimairi Tennis Club from April 2014 to October 2018, teaching children how to play tennis and obtaining a qualification as a New Zealand Certified Tennis Coach.

Rafael Goesmann attended St Andrew's College in NZ from 2007 to 2016, but did not earn a degree or specialize in any specific field of study during that time. From 2016 to 2019, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science at the University of Canterbury.
