Dr. Timothy Hui, DPT, DC, CSPO, PI

Dr. Timothy Hui, DPT, DC, CSPO, PI has extensive experience in physical therapy and chiropractic. In 2020, they were the Director of Physical Therapy/Product Owner at Plethy, Inc, where they collaborated with a 12-person agile Engineering team to develop, test, and deploy a remote patient monitoring (RPM) system. Dr. Timothy also worked with global development, business, and sales teams to create mock-up storyboards, translate customer needs into product requirements, and lead virtual and in-person pitches. In addition, they served as an SME on production, testing, and validation of new features for exercise search functionality, billing, patient questionnaires and progress reports, surgery site picture electronic transmission, and office monitoring and charting.

Since 2014, Dr. Hui has also been a Peer Reviewer for the British Journal of Medicine and Medical Research. In 2019, they were the Center Therapy Director at Concentra, where they managed a team of 10 physical therapists, PTAs, and OT, Chiropractic, and Acupuncture clinicians in the therapy wing of a medical center to treat up to 10K patients recovering from work-related injuries. Dr. Timothy also collaborated with Doctors and PAs to treat patients with orthopedic conditions via in-person visits and Telemedicine during the pandemic to maintain patient progress, improve outcomes, and generate revenue without the in-person visits. Additionally, they operationalized telemedicine capabilities during the pandemic by preparing computer software, connecting with vendors, managing scheduling and billing, and leading change management for the transition to a new telemedicine vendor.

Dr. Hui was also a Visiting Researcher at the University of Canberra in 2018. From 2001 to present, they have served as a Physical Therapist/Chiropractor at various outpatient physical therapy clinics. In this role, they have been the Lead Physical Therapist for 5-person teams of therapists in clinics, ranging from outpatient orthopedic and geriatric care centers to an inpatient Long-term Acute Care Hospital unit, serving up to 4K patients per year. Dr. Timothy has also acted as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for an online PT aide certificate course with Ed2go/Cengage by authoring and reviewing course content including disease information, evaluations, and certification tests. Furthermore, they have led 10 training sessions on treatment techniques based on Joint Manipulation and Orthology Systems-Based Approaches for groups of up to 10 students per session.

Dr. Timothy Hui holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Loma Linda University, a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from Southern California University of Health Sciences, and a Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science from University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Timothy also holds a Google Data Analytics Certificate from Coursera, obtained in September 2021, as well as a Share Data Through the Art of Visualization Certificate from Coursera, obtained in August 2021. Additionally, they hold Process Data from Dirty to Clean and Foundations: Data, Data, Everywhere Certificates from Coursera, both obtained in July 2021, and a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) Certificate from Scrum Alliance, obtained in April 2021.
