Christian A. Strømmen

Christian A. Strømmen has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Christian A. currently holds the position of Director of Product and Metadata at Plex, Inc. which they started in September 2022. Prior to this, they were the CEO and Founder of Vuu from October 2015 to June 2023. Christian A. also worked at Portalia as an Interaction Designer and iOS Developer from March 2010 to October 2015. Additionally, Christian worked at Object Factory as a CEO and Software Developer from November 2008 to October 2015, and during their tenure, they designed, developed and released multiple successful apps for the iOS App Store. Christian A. held the role of Project Manager at Panasonic Silicon Valley Laboratory, Panasonic R&D Company of America from January 2012 to August 2012, where they led a client-based group project researching future methods of interactivity in public spaces. Christian also gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University from January 2012 to May 2012, where they assisted in teaching, grading, and providing support for a course on Developing iPad Applications for Visualization and Insight. Prior to their career in technology, Christian owned and managed Showtime Ålesund from January 2004 to January 2011. Christian A. also served as a Student Representative on the Board of Aalesund University College (NTNU) from January 2004 to June 2005, where they advised the Board on various matters related to the efficient running of the college. Christian's early work experience includes serving as a Corporal in the communication division of the Norwegian Army from August 2001 to May 2002, where they performed IT-related tasks classified as Top Secret.

Christian A. Strømmen earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from Ålesund University College (HiÅ) from 2007 to 2010. Christian A. then pursued a Master of Human-Computer Interaction degree in the field of Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University from 2011 to 2012. Prior to their bachelor's degree, Christian attended Nørve VGS from 1997 to 2000, where they focused on Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
