Meg McCarrick

Associate Director, Computational Chemistry at Plexium

Meg McCarrick has a long and varied work experience. Meg currently serves as Associate Director of Computational Chemistry at Plexium and Senior Scientist at Ferring Pharmaceuticals. Prior to these roles, they were an Application Scientist at ChemAxon from 2019-2021, Scientist IV at Dart NeuroScience LLC from 2012-2019, and a Computational Chemist at Independent Consulting (self employed) from 2012-2019. Meg also worked at Celgene from 2002-2012, where they were a Senior Scientist and supported several drug discovery projects with structure-based design, ligand-based design and cheminformatics. Additionally, they were a Club Officer/Member at Biotoasters Toastmasters from 2005-2012 and a Scientist at Berlex Biosciences from 1995-2002, where they were a team member in the Biophysics group performing structure-based drug design.

Meg McCarrick obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Los Angeles between 1987 and 1992. Meg then pursued a postdoc in Biophysics from the University of California, San Francisco from 1993 to 1995.
