Miranda Oswal is a Scientist II and has worked at Plexium since 2022. Prior to that, it was a Postdoctoral Associate at Calibr at Scripps Research from 2021. From 2013 to 2016, they were a Lecturer, Teaching Assistant, and Undergraduate Research Assistant at Oakland University, where they managed undergraduate students in general, organic, and physical laboratory courses, educated them on common laboratory techniques and proper waste disposal, and assisted in the development of amination methods to synthesize 3-amino-2-alkenones and 3H-1,5-benzodiazepines, and worked on the synthesis of pyrazol-1-yl-benzenesulfonamides. In 2015, Miranda was a DAAD-RISE Summer Research Intern at Technische Universität Braunschweig, where they synthesized organometallic complexes as potential antitumor compounds and assisted senior graduate students with cell culture assays in Prof. Ingo Ott’s laboratory.

Miranda Belcher obtained their High School Diploma from Traverse City Central High School in 2012. Miranda then went on to earn their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Oakland University in 2015. In 2021, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from Purdue University.
