Javier Colomer Merediz

Javier Colomer Merediz has a diverse work experience in various roles related to UX/UI design and market research. Javier started their career as an Evaluation Technician at ENRED CONSULTORÍA, where they evaluated applications and conducted benchmarking. Javier then worked as a Market Researcher at Axis Pharma, performing support functions and conducting in-depth interviews. Javier also gained experience as a UX/Market Researcher at Indaga Research, where they designed interviews and questionnaires. Javier later joined SKY HIGH PLC, where they worked in fieldwork for market research.

To further develop their skills in UX/UI design, Javier attended a UX/UI Design BootCamp at Ironhack. During this time, they carried out multiple projects and gained proficiency in design tools and methodologies. Javier also worked as a Spanish Teacher and Digital Learning Materials Designer at Asilim, where they managed the CEAR Program and taught Spanish to migrants.

Javier then became a Freelance UX/UI Designer, offering design services to various companies such as Repsol and Santander Smart Lab. Javier used their skills in UX research and UI design to improve their products and strategies. Additionally, they worked as a UX/UI Designer at Salvando Peludos-El Campito, where they worked on a project for an animal shelter in Madrid.

Continuing their career in UX/UI design, Javier joined Trazos as a Lead Instructor, teaching UX/UI courses. Javier also worked at Plexus Tech as a Senior Product Designer & UX Researcher, where they designed products for clients and supported the launch of new offerings. Currently, they hold the position of Technical Lead and Senior Product Designer at UNIR, focusing on design and mapping tasks.

Javier Colomer Merediz has a diverse education history. In 2003-2008, they attended Universidad Complutense de Madrid where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Sociology. In 2008-2009, they pursued a postgraduate degree in Master of Social Research Methodology, Innovations and Applications at the same university. In 2012, they attended International House Barcelona to earn the IH Certificate for Teaching Spanish. Most recently, in 2019-2020, they attended Ironhack where they completed a Master's degree in UX/UI Design. Additionally, Javier has received certifications in UX/UI Design from Ironhack in 2019 and in Examinators DELE accreditation course from Instituto Cervantes in 2015.
