Pliant Therapeutics
Frederick Hsu is an accomplished scientist specializing in non-clinical research and development, particularly in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics (DMPK). Currently serving as an Associate Scientist I at Pliant Therapeutics since January 2021, Frederick has established key assays and infrastructure for evaluating plasma protein binding and compound clearance, and actively contributes to project discussions from a DMPK perspective. Previous experience includes roles at Genentech as a Research Associate and as a Graduate Research Intern at Exicure, where significant contributions were made in assay development and high-throughput synthesis. Frederick holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from UCLA.
