Emily Janelli, JD, currently serves as a Publishing Editor at the Public Library of Science (PLOS) since May 2022, where responsibilities include managing the manuscript workflow, monitoring editorial vendors, and improving journal operations through data-driven recommendations. Previously, Emily worked as an Acquisition Specialist at Orion Consulting Group, Inc., providing contract administration and cost analysis, and held the role of Production Editor at Wolters Kluwer for over a decade, overseeing the publication process for numerous medical journals. Additional experience includes freelance writing in Business Law, legal practice as a Maryland Rule 16 Student Attorney, and a judicial clerkship at the EEOC. Emily holds a JD from the University of Baltimore School of Law, along with a bachelor's degree in International Business/Spanish from Towson University and a study abroad experience in law from Aberdeen University.
