Lauren Cadwallader

Lauren Cadwallader is an experienced professional in open research and scholarly communication with a strong background in archaeology. Currently serving as the Open Research Manager at the Public Library of Science (PLOS) since September 2020, Lauren previously held various roles at Cambridge University Library from August 2014 to September 2020, including Deputy Manager of Scholarly Communication focusing on Research Data Management and Open Research Training Coordinator. Lauren's earlier experience includes a position as an Open Access Research Advisor, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Cambridge, and environmental archaeology roles with the Canterbury Archaeological Trust and several commercial firms. Lauren holds a PhD in Archaeology from the University of Cambridge, alongside a Master’s in Human Osteology and Palaeopathology and a Bachelor’s in Archaeology and Anthropology from the same institution.
