Michael Carroll

Michael Carroll is a Professor and Director of the Program on Information Justice and Intellectual Property at American University Washington College of Law, where involvement began in August 2008. In addition to this role, Carroll has served as Director at the Public Library of Science since September 2012 and was previously the Director at Creative Commons from 2001 to December 2015. Prior experience includes a position as Professor at Villanova University School of Law from August 2001 to July 2008 and as an Associate at Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP in 2000-2001. Carroll earned a J.D. in Law from Georgetown University Law Center, completing studies from 1993 to 1996. Further educational background includes multiple degrees from the University of Chicago.
