Simanta Khadka

Simanta Khadka is a specialist ophthalmologist currently serving as the head of the department at Matrika Eye Center in Kathmandu. Educated at the Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University, Simanta completed an MD in Ophthalmology in 2016, achieving academic excellence recognized by gold medals during both their masters and undergraduate studies. With extensive experience in cataract and vitreoretinal surgeries, they have established a dedicated retina unit and are proficient in performing complex intraocular procedures. Simanta contributes to the field as an active researcher, authoring numerous peer-reviewed publications, and serving on editorial boards, including as a section editor for the Nepalese Journal of Ophthalmology. Additionally, Simanta holds a position as joint treasurer of the Nepal Vitreoretinal Society and is involved in continuing medical education.
