Rui Borges has extensive work experience in the media and marketing industry. Rui started their career in 1994 as a Financial Journalist at Vida Económica, a role they held until 1997. Rui then joined Jornal de Negócios, where they served as an Editor and eventually became the Editor in Chief. Rui worked at Jornal de Negócios until 2002. In 2002, Rui founded Money Media, where they served as the CEO and Founder Shareholder until 2006. Shortly after, in the same year, they became the CEO of Plot Marketing Agency. Throughout their career, Rui has held significant leadership positions and made notable contributions to the media and marketing industry.
Rui Borges has a diverse education history. In 1992, they started studying Economics at Universidade Católica Portuguesa and continued until 1998. After that, in 2005, Rui attended Stanford University for the Stanford Professional Publishing Course. In 2007, they pursued a degree in Strategic Marketing and Communications, specializing in Marcom, at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. In 2008, Rui briefly enrolled in the University of Virginia Darden School of Business for a course focused on Online Marketing. Finally, in 2016, they attended the Harvard Business School Executive Education program to gain expertise in Driving Digital and Social Strategy.
