Austera Premakara

Austera Premakara has a diverse work experience in the field of design. They started their career as a Junior Designer at Wid Chapman in 2017. Austera then worked as a Designer at DVF (Diane von Furstenberg) and Michael Kors in the same year. In 2015, Austera also worked as a Designer at Atelier TT.

In 2019, Austera joined Koma as a Product Designer, where they were responsible for designing the UX and UI for various platforms. They actively participated in different stages of projects and collaborated with stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of key milestones. Austera continued working at Koma until December 2020.

From 2020 to 2022, Austera worked at PT Astra International Tbk as a UI UX Designer. They consulted with different clients to enhance their products' digital user experiences by applying user-centered design processes and various design thinking methodologies. Austera left the company in February 2022.

Aside from their corporate roles, Austera was also a Co-founder at Nutriolab, a food consultancy firm focused on digital product development and delivery. Nutriolab was part of the MIT-Sandbox Innovation Fund Program. Austera's role at Nutriolab lasted from 2021 to 2022.

Currently, Austera is employed as the Product Design Manager at Pluang, a position they started in September 2022.

Austera Premakara has a Masters degree in Design for Performance and Interaction from UCL. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from Parsons School of Design - The New School. Austera also completed the International Baccalaureate program. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications such as IBM Enterprise Design Thinking Co-Creator from IBM, Design Thinking: Customer Experience from LinkedIn, and User interface and experience design - CPD Certified from The School of UX. The IBM certification was obtained in 2022, while the other two certifications were obtained in 2020 (in June and February respectively).
