Despoina Dimitrakopoulou started their work experience in 2017 as a Trainee Lawyer at Siaperas & Associates Law Offices, where they worked until August 2020. In 2020, they joined the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) as a Pan-European Seal Trainee at the Boards of Appeal, and later transitioned to the EUIPO Customer Department's SME Hosting Program from October to December 2021. Currently, they hold the role of EMEA Corporate Counsel at Plug and Play Tech Center, starting in December 2021.

Despoina Dimitrakopoulou completed their education with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) on Intellectual Property from the WIPO Academy and Turin School of Development at ITCILO in 2020. Before that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Law from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) between 2012 and 2019. In 2014, they attended Loyola Summer School at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. Prior to university, they completed their secondary education at Arsakeio Secondary School, where they obtained the Apolytirion degree.
