Don Boyajian has several years of work experience in various legal and legislative roles.
From November 2021, they have been working as the Director of Government Affairs & Counsel at Plug Power.
Previously, they served as the Regional Attorney at the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation from January 2020 to October 2021. In this role, they oversaw the Office of General Counsel for Region 5, which covers the Adirondacks, northern Capital Region, and North Country.
In 2019, Boyajian worked as Counsel for the New York State Senate Majority Conference. In this position, they handled legislative portfolios related to environmental conservation, energy, and racing, gaming, and wagering. Don also drafted and negotiated various pieces of legislation.
Prior to their work with the Senate, Boyajian was an Attorney at Dreyer Boyajian LLP from October 2015 to December 2019.
Don has also worked as an Associate Attorney at Paul Hastings from June 2011 to June 2014.
Additionally, Boyajian served as a Legislative Assistant for Rep. Michael E. McMahon in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2009.
Don Boyajian attended Colgate University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Geography and Biology. Don then went on to study at Cornell Law School from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a Doctor of Law degree (JD).
