Fan Yang

Director, Chemical Engineering

Fan Yang has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and research. They began their career at Purdue University as a Research Assistant, focusing on the synthesis and analysis of cathode materials. They also contributed to making Li metal electrodes rechargeable. At Giner, Inc., Fan worked as a Project Scientist, before moving on to Plug Power where they held various roles including Project Scientist, Senior Scientist, and currently an Engineering Manager.

Fan Yang holds a Bachelor's degree in Material Science & Engineering from Tianjin University, which they obtained in 2012. Fan then pursued further education and earned a Master's degree in Materials Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2012 to 2014. Following this, they joined Purdue University and completed their Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2014 to 2015. Fan continued their studies at Purdue University and received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering in 2018.
