Jeff Farr

Jeff Farr has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Jeff is currently working as a Senior Electrical Engineer at Plug Power since March 2023. Prior to that, they served as an Engineering Technical Leader - Power Systems at Wabtec Corporation from December 2021 to March 2023. From February 2017 to November 2021, they worked as a System Engineer and Signaling Functional Design Engineer at Hitachi Rail STS USA, Inc.

Before joining Hitachi Rail STS USA, Inc., Jeff Farr worked at Siemens from January 2011 to February 2017 in various roles, including Senior Applications Engineer and Senior Water-Cooled VFD Product Owner. Jeff also has experience working at GE Converteam as a Power Systems Engineer from March 2008 to December 2010, where they designed power inverter for the photovoltaic industry and electrical systems for various industries.

Jeff Farr started their career as a Power Systems Engineer at Vanderweil Engineers from April 2006 to February 2008, where they designed electrical systems using AutoCAD and performed various analyses. Jeff also worked at Eaton from June 2004 to March 2006 as a Power Systems Engineer, where they conducted computer simulations, performed analysis, and prepared power system studies.

Jeff Farr obtained their first Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1998. Jeff then went on to complete a second Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh in 2003.
