Mehmet Ozan Ozdemir has diverse work experience in various engineering roles. Mehmet Ozan started their career as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Arcelik Group, where they gained hands-on experience in manufacturing operations and performed CAD design using AutoCAD. Mehmet Ozan then worked as a Mechanical Engineer at TUSAş - Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc., designing and modeling cabin pressure and temperature for aircraft safety. Mehmet Ozan also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Connecticut, where they managed and led classes, prepared course documents and assignments, and conducted research on electrochemical hydrogen compressors. Most recently, they joined Plug Power as a Test Engineer.
Mehmet Ozan Ozdemir pursued their academic journey with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. Mehmet Ozan completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University in 2007. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, graduating in 2009. In 2009, they further advanced their education by enrolling at the University of Connecticut, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering in 2017. Prior to their university education, Mehmet Ozan Ozdemir attended Fatih Anatolian High School from 1999 to 2003 to complete their high school education.
