Pete Sandberg

Pete Sandberg has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Pete started their career at Bytex in 1992 as a Software Test Engineer before moving on to Sun Microsystems in 1993, where they held the same role. In 1994, they joined Invensys Controls as an Application Engineer, where they were involved in designing batch process solutions for food and pharmaceutical plants, as well as working on automated control systems for oil platforms. From 1999 to 2010, Pete worked at Global Automation Partners as an Application Engineer, responsible for implementing communication strategies and upgrading control systems in various industries. In 2010, they moved to Invensys Operations Management as a Senior Validation Engineer, leading verification for a control system to be installed in a nuclear power plant and training engineers in validation practices. Pete then joined Airgas in 2015 as a Principal Control Systems Engineer, where they mentored junior engineers, designed automated systems, and reviewed P&IDs. Pete'smost recent role has been at Plug Power since 2023, where they serve as a Principal Control System Engineer.

Pete Sandberg obtained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where they studied from 1987 to 1992. In addition to their degree, they have also obtained a certification in Leadership: Practical Skills from LinkedIn in May 2023.
