Phillip Schoch began their work experience in 2008 as an R&D intern at Armstrong World Industries. Phillip then went on to be an undergraduate researcher at Purdue University from 2008 to 2009. In 2009, they started working as a research assistant at North Carolina State University and remained there until 2015. In 2011, Schoch briefly served as a visiting researcher at IMTEK, University of Freiburg. Phillip joined ExxonMobil in 2015 and held various positions including advanced researcher, senior researcher, and integrated project team lead until 2021. Schoch then transitioned to Plug Power, where they worked as a senior materials scientist from 2021 to 2023 and is currently serving as the Manager of Engineering Analysis.
Phillip Schoch earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University in 2009. Phillip then went on to pursue their Ph.D in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at North Carolina State University, completing their studies in 2015.
