Robert Scheffler

Robert Scheffler has a strong background in operations and manufacturing. Robert is currently working as the Senior Director of Operations at Plug Power. Previously, they held the position of Director of Operations at Trelleborg Engineered Coated Fabrics from February 2020 to April 2023. Before that, they worked as the Director of Operations at Daramic, LLC, a subsidiary of Asahi Kasei, from March 2018 to February 2020. Robert also served as the Senior Manager of Production at Tesla from January 2017 to March 2018, overseeing the production of the Model 3 Battery at the Gigafactory. Prior to that, they held roles such as Plant Manager and Production Manager at Celgard from 2011 to 2017, where they focused on implementing lean manufacturing techniques and driving continuous improvement. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Manufacturing Manager at Leggett & Platt- Hanes Industries, supporting multiple distribution locations with project/process engineering, and as an Industrial Process Engineer at VF Corporation, where they focused on re-engineering processes to reduce manufacturing costs.

Robert Scheffler attended Clemson University from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering. In terms of additional certifications, they have an ASQ CSSBB certification from ASQ, although the specific month and year of obtaining it are unknown.
