Paula Mendes Caldeira Rathsam has a diverse work experience. Paula is a co-founder and board member of Plugify since 2018, where they played a crucial role in designing the business model, product roadmap, corporate strategy, and pricing models. Paula also served as the CFO at Plugify.
Paula also participated in various programs at Endeavor Brasil, starting as a Scale-Up Endeavor participant in 2021 and 2022. In these programs, they worked on growth challenges and received mentorship from senior entrepreneurs in the Endeavor network to enhance their fundraising skills, build a strong company culture, and adopt best practices in processes.
In addition to their professional roles, Paula dedicated their time as a volunteer advisory to startups, providing free advisory on fundraising and business strategy to early-stage entrepreneurs. Paula also served as a private investor in Rent Style from 2019 to 2021.
Before their entrepreneurial journey, Paula gained experience in investment banking at Moelis & Company, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and BTG Pactual from 2014 to 2018. At these companies, they worked on various investment banking projects.
Currently, Paula continues to contribute as an alumni mentor at Insper's Entrepreneurship Center, advising startups on fundraising and business strategy.
Paula Mendes Caldeira Rathsam's education history begins with their high school education at Graded - The American School of São Paulo, where they completed their degree in High School. Paula then attended Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa from 2010 to 2015, where they obtained their undergraduate degree in Economics. In 2014, Paula took a summer course on Derivatives & Behavioral Finance at Harvard University. Additionally, they participated in an exchange program at Università Bocconi in the same year. More recently, in 2020-2021, they attended Latitud, where they completed the 1st Cohort, which was focused on starting an entrepreneurial journey in LATAM.
