Tuomas Mäkelä

Tuomas Mäkelä has extensive experience in business development, product management, and sales in various industries. Tuomas is currently working as the Head of Business Unit at Plugit Finland since May 2022. Prior to this, Tuomas held the position of Head of Sales and Product Management, EV Charging Solutions at Destia Oy from September 2021 to May 2022. Tuomas also served as the Business Development Manager at Turck Vilant Systems from January 2019 to September 2021 and as the Manager of New Business Development at Vaisala from August 2017 to January 2019. Before that, Tuomas worked at Ensto in various roles including Product Manager for Enclosures and Explosion Protection, Product Manager for Explosion Protection, and Business Analyst. Their responsibilities at Ensto included global portfolio management, product development and management, market analysis, and creating business roadmaps. Prior to Ensto, Tuomas worked as a thesis and project worker at Makela Resources and as a designer at Ensto and SWECO. Tuomas has a strong background in electrical industry and has worked on various design and engineering projects throughout their career.

Tuomas Mäkelä completed their Bachelor of Science (Tech.) degree in Mechanics and Design along with Production Engineering at Tampere University of Technology from 2005 to 2008. Following this, they pursued their Master of Science (Tech.) degree in the same field of study at the same university, from 2008 to 2010.
