Lora Poepping

Lora Poepping has a diverse range of work experience spanning across multiple industries. Lora is the President of Plum Coaching & HR Consulting, a company they founded in 2011. At Plum, they provide job search coaching, career coaching, and HR consulting services to clients from various industries, including C-suite executives and recent college graduates.

Prior to starting Plum, Lora worked at Microsoft Corporation from 2006 to 2009 in various roles. As a Diversity Program Manager, they developed the Diversity Strategy for Microsoft's Finance organization, emphasizing management development and employee capability programs. Lora also served as a Program Manager, Leader On-boarding, where they developed Microsoft's first global integration framework for leaders.

Before joining Microsoft, Lora worked at Washington Mutual in 2006 as an HR Consultant. From 1995 to 2005, they worked at Microsoft as a Senior Account Manager - Industry Staffing, where they recruited for various professional positions and collaborated closely with hiring managers.

Lora's earlier work experience includes being a Stay-at-Home Parent in 1994, the Regional Director of Recruiting at Coopers & Lybrand from 1993 to 1994, a Campus Recruiter at Deloitte from 1988 to 1994, an Assistant Director of Student Activities at American University from 1987 to 1988, a Program Coordinator at the Visiting Professionals Program from 1986 to 1987, and a Fraternity and IFC Advisor at Indiana University from 1984 to 1986.

Lora Poepping obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from UC Santa Barbara in 1983. Lora then went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Education at Indiana University Bloomington from 1984 to 1986.
