Mohamed Ashraf Roshdy

Lead Devops Engineer

Mohamed Ashraf is a seasoned software and DevOps engineer who sits at the intersection of backend development, cloud infrastructure, and automation. At Plural.com, he serves as Lead DevOps Engineer, responsible for designing and operating the production infrastructure that powers Plural’s AI driven skills marketplace.

At Plural, Mohamed architected and implemented production grade AWS and Kubernetes infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code with CloudFormation, giving the platform a secure, repeatable and scalable foundation from day one. He designed and integrated a comprehensive logging and monitoring stack with Elasticsearch, InfluxDB and Grafana, which reduced production downtime and significantly shortened debugging cycles by making system behaviour fully observable. He also built a suite of internal DevOps tooling in Bash, from context aware Kubernetes manifest interpolation to backup utilities and onboarding wizards, which made day to day operations faster and far less error prone.

In addition to his platform work, Mohamed contributed directly to Plural’s core backend, working with Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, Neo4j and Elasticsearch on features such as location based search, a messaging platform with file uploads, and a skill recommendation system. This blend of infrastructure and product engineering means he understands how to align reliability and performance with real product needs. Colleagues know him as a quick learner, a calm presence in high pressure situations, and a pragmatic engineer who uses automation and strong fundamentals to keep complex distributed systems running smoothly.
