Marieke Meirmans

Marieke Meirmans has an extensive background in psychology and education, currently serving as a gz psycholoog/orthopedagoog at Pluryn since August 1986, focusing on behavioral science in after-school treatment programs in Nijmegen, and contributing to the development of a mindfulness program for individuals with mild intellectual disabilities. Prior experience includes roles at SO de Vaart and VSO Vierbeekcollege as a gz psycholoog/orthopedagoog in special education for cluster 4, along with teaching positions at Fontys Hogescholen and Hogeschool Utrecht, where instruction covered areas such as psychopathology and behavior therapy. Marieke Meirmans holds a postgraduate degree in mindfulness training from Radboud Universitair Medisch Centrum and has also studied crisis management in schools at the European School Psychology Centre, in addition to obtaining a degree in Orthopedagogy from Radboud University.
