Jose Hotema

Jose Hotema has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Jose started their career in 2016 at STAMPL GROUP, where they worked as a Sales and Design professional until 2020. In 2018, they also served as a First Year Experience Peer Mentor at The University of Texas at San Antonio.

From 2019 to 2020, Jose worked as a T-mobile Retail Mobile Expert at Amtel LLC. Following that, they joined Larry Wunsch & Associates in 2020 as a Sales Engineer, responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing quotes and bids, and conducting research on market trends and competitors.

In 2021, Jose joined Amazon Robotics as a Hardware Test Engineer, where they expanded their knowledge in robotics through various test programs and implemented rapid prototyping and mechatronics principles in product development. Jose also managed installations and started a maker space for the team to troubleshoot drive units and assemble fixtures.

Currently, Jose is working at Plus One Robotics as a Hardware Test Development Engineer starting from February 2023.

Jose Hotema completed an Associate of Science degree in Engineering at Northwest Vista College from 2016 to 2018. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Technology/Technician at The University of Texas at San Antonio from 2018 to 2020. In July 2019, Jose obtained a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from ExpertRating Inc. Jose also obtained a CSWA certification from SolidWorks Authorized Training Center in November 2018.
