Kevin Hulsing

Kevin Hulsing has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Kevin started their career as an Instructor at Troy University at Montgomery from August 2000 to May 2001. Kevin then joined the Joint Warfare Analysis Center as a Sr. Engineer / Mathematician from July 2001 to November 2005, where they focused on algorithm development for assessing graphs and networks using C++ and C# in a Windows environment. Kevin then worked at Novetta Solutions from November 2005 to April 2016 as a Sr. Engineer / Mathematician, primarily working with Python, web development, awk, C, and C++ programming on Linux machines and Windows. Here, they also developed document management software using C# and ASP. After that, they joined Plus3 IT Systems in April 2016 as a DevOps Cloud Automation Engineer, responsible for planning and deploying business and mission applications in a production cloud environment, as well as designing and developing automation workflows.

Kevin Hulsing has a strong educational background in mathematics. Kevin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the Rochester Institute of Technology, which they attended from 1989 to 1993. After that, they pursued further studies and obtained a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Virginia Tech, where they studied from 1993 to 1998.

In addition to their formal education, Kevin has also obtained several certifications. Kevin is a Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, which they acquired in April 2020. Kevin also holds a CompTIA Security+ certification, received in April 2018. Most recently, Kevin obtained the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2022.

It should be noted that there is mention of an incomplete certification, AWS Certified Developer - Associate, which lacks specific details regarding the month and year of its acquisition.
