Thomas Jones

Thomas Jones has extensive work experience in the IT industry. Thomas began their career in 1995 as a Systems Administrator at Bell Atlantic Internet Solutions. Thomas then worked as a Regional Support Engineer and Engineer at Silicon Graphics, Inc. from 1997 to 1998. Thomas joined Network Appliance, Inc. in 1998 as a Professional Services Engineer, providing consulting services for site assessment, installation, and service optimization. Thomas then worked at Digex, Inc. from 1999 to 2004 as an Operations Engineer, providing engineering and case escalation services. From 2004 to 2009, Thomas worked at Wells Landers Group, LLC as a Principal Consultant, offering professional consulting services in areas such as high availability, disaster recovery, data replication, data protection, and virtualization. Thomas then joined WINS in 2009 as a Systems Engineer, where they designed and implemented storage solutions for a DoD customer. Since 2015, Thomas has been working at Plus3 IT Systems as a Senior Cloud Engineer. Overall, Thomas has gained expertise in a wide range of IT roles, including systems administration, engineering, consulting, and cloud engineering.

Thomas Jones attended Penn State University from 1988 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Thomas also obtained several certifications throughout their career, including the 2023 Red Hat® Accelerators Program, GitLab Solutions Architect Core Verified Associate from GitLab in 2021, and the 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 Red Hat® Accelerators Programs. Additionally, they hold certifications such as CompTIA Linux (Powered by LPI) obtained in 2012, AWS Certified Developer – Associate obtained in 2022, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate obtained in 2021, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate obtained in 2020, CompTIA Security+ ce obtained in 2016, Red Hat Certified Engineer obtained in 2014, and Red Hat Certified System Administrator obtained in 2014.
