Daniel Djahjah has extensive experience in the media and entertainment industry, with a focus on content partnerships, business consulting, and content acquisitions. Daniel is currently working at Pluto TV, where they lead the strategy to source and negotiate content for the AVOD-FAST launch in Latin America, signing deals with over 125 content partners. Prior to this, they worked at ODK Media and Paramount as a business consultant and business development consultant, respectively. Daniel also has experience at Amazon as a Senior Content Acquisitions & Programming leader, overseeing the successful launch of Prime Video in Brazil and negotiating the development of original content for the Brazilian market. Before that, they were the Director of Distribution Latin America at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where they negotiated licensing deals for movies, series, and formats across various media platforms. Daniel also worked at Globo as the Head of International Business, expanding the company's DTC distribution to over 100 countries and managing the sales division's P&L. Daniel also served as the International Sales Manager for the Americas at Globo, negotiating TV programming deals with major players in the region and securing key partnerships and increased revenues. Earlier in their career, Daniel worked at Silimed as an International Sales & Marketing Senior Manager, where they implemented sales strategies, marketing campaigns, and opened new distribution channels. Daniel also worked at Oi/Telemar as a Sales Strategy Analyst, focusing on broadband products, and at Claro Brasil in various marketing roles.
Daniel Djahjah completed their Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Sales and Marketing from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro from 1996 to 2000. Later, they pursued an MBA in Business Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, graduating from 2005 to 2007.
