Kevin Phelps is an accomplished law enforcement professional with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as a Patrol Sergeant at Plymouth Police Department since 2017, Kevin has developed a strong foundation in police operations. Prior to that role, Kevin worked as an Explosive Detector Dog Handler for AMK9 - American K-9 Detection Services LLC from May 2011 to May 2016 and served as a Deputy Sheriff at Bertie County Sheriff's Office from June 2008 to May 2011. Other notable positions include Patrol Officer at Williamston Police Department and Police Advisor/Team Lead at DynCorp International. Kevin's law enforcement career began as a Patrol Sergeant at Martin County Sheriff's Office, where responsibilities included patrol, K9 operations, and shift supervision. Kevin holds a Basic Law Enforcement Training certificate from Martin Community College and is a graduate of Lafayette High School.
