John Fanara started their work experience at Parametric Technology Corporation in 1996 as a Desktop Specialist, where they were responsible for hardware, software, network, and PC support. John then moved to Ernst & Young in 1997 as a Senior Service Specialist, handling software, network, and client/server support for internal customers. In 1999, they joined Goodwin Procter LLP as a Senior Applications Analyst, where they evaluated, recommended, and implemented firm-wide applications. John also managed the Desktop Engineering and Desktop Services support groups, as well as overseeing the daily operations of various IT groups. In 2012, they became the Chief Information Security Officer and Director of IT at CRICO, where they held the position until 2023. Currently, they are the Director of Information Technology Security at Plymouth Rock Assurance.
John Fanara attended North Adams State College where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science. In 2023, they obtained a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from ISC2.
