Kokila Perera

Kokila Perera has extensive experience in finance and strategic planning. Kokila most recently served as the Head of Finance for People's Merchant Finance PLC since February 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of MS at LCB Finance PLC starting in October 2019. In the same year, they also worked as the Head of Finance and Strategic Planning at LCB Finance Limited. Kokila has also worked as an independent consultant specializing in accounting, finance, and treasury management from June 2019 to October 2019. Before that, they served as the Deputy Head of Finance at Sanasa Development Bank PLC from July 2008 to June 2019. From October 2011 to June 2018, Kokila served as the CFO at The Finance Company PLC.

Kokila Perera's education history begins with their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the University of Colombo, which they obtained from 1997 to 2001. Kokila then pursued further studies in accounting and completed an Associate membership of certified management accountant program at the Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (CMA) in 2009. In the same year, they also became a Fellow member (FCA) at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka.

Kokila decided to enhance their knowledge in the field of business by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Kokila obtained their MBA from 2017 to 2019, focusing on business, management, marketing, and related support services. Throughout their education, Kokila received a well-rounded primary education at St. Bridget's Convent, Colombo 07, where they studied from 1978 to 2004, covering nursery to advanced level studies.
