Anja van Ostrand

Anja Van Ostrand, PMP, DASSM has extensive work experience in research, evaluation, and project management. Anja worked at Rotary International where they led the grant model evaluation and conducted quantitative and qualitative research projects. Anja also analyzed complex organizational issues and provided insights to key stakeholders. Additionally, Anja served as a Membership Research Specialist at Rotary International. Anja has also held positions at PMI Chicagoland Chapter as the Director of Corporate Outreach, at Underwriters Laboratories as a Management Systems Solution expert, at Aon Hewitt as a Customer Service Associate, and at Youth For Understanding USA as a Field Director Assistant and YFU Travel Staff member.

Anja Van Ostrand, PMP, DASSM, holds a Project Management Professional Certificate from Northwestern University, which was obtained in 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Nonprofit Management Certification at the University of Illinois Chicago from 2012 to 2014. Anja also holds a Diplom (M.A.) from The Philipp University of Marburg, earned between 1998 and 2005, with a focus on Sociology, Psychology, American Studies, Gender Studies, and Peace and Conflict Studies. Furthermore, they obtained a Certificate of Global Skills from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside in 2001 and 2002, specializing in Sociology, English, Psychology, and International Studies. Anja has additional certifications, including being a Chapter Leader (in 2022), a Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master (DASSM, obtained in December 2021), a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Professional (obtained in 2019), and a Project Management Professional (PMP®) (obtained in November 2017).
