Nathan Champion

Nathan Champion, PMP, ASM, CSSBB has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Nathan currently holds positions at PMI-Sacramento Valley Chapter as a Board Member and VP of Programs, and at the United States Department of the Army as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist. In their roles with the Army National Guard, they served as a Senior Program Manager, Program Manager and Technical Supply Warehouse Supervisor, Team Supervisor, Tactical Operations Manager, Maintenance Team Manager, UH-60A Blackhawk Pilot, and Warrant Officer Candidate. Nathan also worked as a Project Manager at Allegiant Giving and served as a Neighborhood Watch Leader through volunteer work. Nathan possesses skills in strategic planning, financial management, policy development, operations, and stakeholder management. Notably, they implemented an IT platform solution that resulted in significant cost savings.

Nathan Champion, PMP, ASM, CSSBB has a diverse education history. Nathan obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus in Business from Western Governors University between 2021 and 2024. In 2022 and 2023, they also earned a Master's Certificate in Project Management from Simplilearn Alumni.

Prior to their MBA, Nathan earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Information Technology - Networking from Kaplan University from 2007 to 2010. Before that, they completed an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Information Systems from University of Arkansas Grantham between 2004 and 2006.

In addition to their educational achievements, Nathan has acquired several certifications. Nathan became a Project Management Professional (PMP) in December 2022, certified by the Project Management Institute. Nathan also holds the Agile Scrum Master (ASM) certification from EXIN, obtained in 2023. Furthermore, they obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) certification from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC) in 2022.

Lastly, Nathan has diverse professional experiences as a Master Army Aviator in the US Army and as a Commercial Aircraft Pilot, holding multiple certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration since 2010.
