VP of Technology at PMI South Florida Chapter

Meifang Hu is the VP of Technology at the PMI South Florida Chapter. Meifang has over 25 years of experience in the technology field. Meifang has previous experience as a presentor/speaker for Oracle Universal Records Management implementation in Broward County for the Independent Oracle Users Group. Meifang also has experience as a programmer analyst for FDP Corp /Sunguard. In this role, they were responsible for designing and developing new features for all existing systems, based on client needs. Meifang is skilled in designing and programming user interfaces for desktop applications and the Web. Meifang has used a variety of development tools, including Microsoft Visual Studio (VB, C++, ASP, XML) and SQL server. Meifang has also used Microsoft Visio (UML) and Word for documenting the software design. In addition, they have used Microsoft Project to coordinate deadlines with related functional teams. Meifang has also managed, designed, developed, trained, and mentored programmers in the development of the company’s desktop and Web-based systems. Meifang has provided cost analysis, business requirements, software specifications, test plans, and user documentation. Finally, Meifang was the project lead for 16-bit system development which included designing and implementing enhancements for clients, managing project plans, assigning bugs, providing technical support for clients, and trouble shooting.

Meifang Hu has a MS in Computer Science from Utah State University. Meifang also has certification from Les Mills International in Les Mills SPRINT, Scrum Alliance in Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) in Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT), Les Mills International in Les Mills BODYCOMBAT, Les Mills International in Les Mills BODYPUMP, Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional (PMP), and Toastmasters International in Distinguished Toastmaster.
