Lorna Lowery has extensive work experience as a consultant and project manager. Lorna began their career working for LX3 Consulting for the Government of Alberta-Infrastructure as an IT Sr. Business Consultant from August 2011 to January 2014. Lorna then worked for PMINAC as a PMINAC DIR Dinner Meetings from 2013 to April 2015. From August 2014 to April 2015, they served as a Consultant - IT Professional for Alberta Innovates-Technology Futures. Lorna then worked as a Consultant, IT Professional for First Solar from May 2015 to August 2015. Lorna Lowery also worked for Athabasca University as a Consultant, IT Professional from January 2016 to June 2016. Lorna served as a Consultant, Sr. IT Professional for the Government of Alberta Municipal Affairs from August 2016 to September 2016. Lorna also worked as an IT Consultant, Sr. PM for MOVES Upgrade Project, Service Modernization for the Government of Alberta, Service Alberta from September 2016 to January 2017. From June 2017 to January 2018, they worked as a Project Management Consultant at SMS Equipment Inc. From August 2015 until present, they have been the VP Programs for the PMI Northern Alberta Chapter (PMINAC). Since March 2018, Lorna Lowery has been working as a Consultant, Project Manager at State of Ohio for TMH SOLUTIONS LLC.
Lorna Lowery has a diverse educational background. Lorna holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Global Management from the University of Phoenix, which they earned from 2002 to 2004. Prior to their MBA, they received a Master of Science (MS) degree in BioEngineering from the University of Nottingham from 1981 to 1983. Lorna completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Waterloo, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in BioMechanics from 1975 to 1980. Lorna Lowery also possesses additional certifications, including a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and a PRINCE2 Foundations certification.

The Project Management Institute Northern Alberta Chapter (PMI-NAC) is a volunteer organization founded in 1981 that covers the geographic area of northern Alberta and the NWT. Our vision is to be the pre-eminent project management leader in the Northern Alberta Chapter community so that individuals and organizations will embrace project management and attribute their success to it. PMINAC currently has over 1700 members representing small, medium and large consulting firms, and private and public corporations, from a cross-section of industries including information technologies (IT), telecommunications, oil and gas, engineering, construction, utilities, and government. The Chapter strives to provide its members with a variety of opportunities for both career and personal growth through education, collaboration, networking and special events. Other member benefits include reduced registration fees for chapter events and eligibility to serve the chapter as a board member or director.
