John O'Regan

John O'Regan has a diverse range of work experience in the maritime industry. John most recently worked at P&O Maritime Logistics as the Chief Officer and Master. Previously, they worked at Ardmore Shipping Corporation as a Voyage Manager and Commercial Analyst. John also had a role as an Operations Officer at Commissioners of Irish Lights. Additionally, they gained experience as a 2nd Officer at Stena Line and P&O Maritime Logistics, where they also served as Chief Officer. Earlier in their career, they held the position of Trainee Deck Officer at Trinity House and worked as a Sailing Instructor at Community Boating, Inc. and Fastnet Marine & Outdoor Education Centre.

John O'Regan holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Systems for Business Performance from University College Cork, which they obtained from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) Honours degree in Nautical Science from Munster Technological University from 2015 to 2016. John also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nautical Science from the same university between 2008 and 2012. For their secondary education, John attended Schull Community College and obtained a Leaving Certificate in subjects including Irish, English, Mathematics, Engineering, Construction Studies, Agricultural Science, and Geography, from 2002 to 2008. Additionally, John has obtained certifications such as Chief Mate Unlimited (STCW 95), Master Mariner Unlimited (STCW 95), and OOW Deck Unlimited (STCW 95) from the Department of Transport.
