Syed Nasir

Syed Nasir has a diverse work experience in the field of data analytics and engineering. Syed started their career at Pakistan International Airlines in 2013 as a Data Engineer. Syed then worked as a Software Engineer and Data Engineer at Sofcom (Pvt.) Limited before joining Etisalat UAE in 2016 as a Data Analytics Specialist. At Etisalat UAE, they handled data stewardship, data transformation, data cleansing, ad-hoc data queries, and advanced database queries. In 2019, they briefly worked as a Data Engineer at Topaz Energy and Marine before joining P&O Maritime as a Lead Data Analytics Engineer/Scientist. In their current role, they manage the data stewardship within the organization, leads the data team, and oversees data and automation projects.

Syed Nasir completed their Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended NCR College of Emerging Technologies from 2009 to 2010, where they pursued high school education with a focus on Pre-Engineering (Maths and Physics). In 2007 and 2008, they completed their secondary schooling with a specialization in Mathematics at Methodist Grammar School. In addition to their formal education, Syed Nasir also obtained several certifications including Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals from Microsoft (expected in 2023), Advance Google Analytics from Google (in 2019), and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Helsinki (in 2018).
