Gennaro Rodrigues

Gennaro Rodrigues, Ph.D. has extensive experience in data science, natural language processing, and research. Gennaro currently works at Poatek as the Director and Data Science Lead, where they oversee the development of machine learning models and applies natural language processing techniques for client solutions. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at the same company. Gennaro also has experience as a Lecturer of Natural Language Processing at EPF Ecole d'Ingénieur-e-s.

Before joining Poatek, Gennaro held a Ph.D. scholarship at UFRGS, where they conducted research in the field of fault tolerance and error detection techniques. Gennaro also worked as a Visiting Researcher at LIRMM, focusing on parallel and distributed programming. With their background in software engineering, they interned at AEL Sistemas S/A, contributing to aerospace and military software development. Gennaro gained research experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at UFRGS, conducting studies in the impact of multicore architectures on parallel program performance.

Gennaro Rodrigues, Ph.D. obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul from 2016 to 2019. Before that, they earned an Engineer's degree in Computer Engineering from the same university between 2010 and 2015. In 2012 to 2013, they pursued an Engineer's degree in Electronique Robotique et Informatique Industrielle at Polytech Montpellier. In addition to their academic qualifications, Gennaro has obtained various certifications, including Getting Started with Google Kubernetes Engine from Google, Machine Learning from Stanford University, The Data Scientist's Toolbox from The Johns Hopkins University, Advanced Python from LinkedIn, Deep Learning: Face Recognition from LinkedIn, TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français) from Centre international d'études pédagogiques (CIEP), and IELTS from the British Council.
