Barry Katz is the current director at Pocket Naloxone Corp. and the founder and former vice chairman of the board at Envision Pharmaceutical Holdings, Inc. Barry served as president of EnvisionRxOptions from 2009 to 2014, and as the company's chief operating officer from 2000 to 2009.
Katz has over 20 years of experience in the pharmacy benefit management industry. Barry was instrumental in developing EnvisionRxOptions into a nationally recognized company, providing pharmacy benefits to self-insured employers, Taft-Hartley plans, municipalities, state and local governments, and health plans. In their role as president, they oversaw all aspects of the company's operations, including sales, marketing, finance, and customer service.
Under Katz's leadership, EnvisionRxOptions became the first fully transparent, full disclosure pharmacy benefits management company in the United States. Barry was also responsible for launching Envision Insurance Company's Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan, which provides coverage for seniors across the country.
Katz is a graduate of the University of Michigan and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy.
