Manager, Patient Experience at PocketHealth

Mel Ashcroft has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mel is currently working at PocketHealth as the Patient Experience Program Support Lead, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Patient Experience Team Lead at PocketHealth from July 2020 to November 2022.

In 2019, Mel Ashcroft worked as a Board Member for the ONE LIFE Gala in support of The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. From 2010 to 2019, they co-founded and co-owned a designer management and event production agency called THE COLLECTIONS™. During their time at THE COLLECTIONS™, they developed strategic partnerships and sponsorships with prominent companies such as Apple, Cadillac Fairview, L'Oreal, and Hudson's Bay.

Before their entrepreneurial venture, Mel Ashcroft worked as a Digital Planner/Buyer for the luxury brands division of TeamUK - MediaCom, a part of the WPP Group. Mel was responsible for providing strategic planning and buying solutions for luxury advertisers. Mel held this position from December 2008 to September 2009.

Mel Ashcroft's earlier work experience includes a role as a Primary Research Associate at the University of Alberta. During this time, they led a research study on "Entrepreneurship and the Work/Family Balance" where they conducted interviews with entrepreneurs in Alberta. The results of this study were later published. Mel worked at the university from June 2005 to August 2005.

Mel Ashcroft earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies from the University of Alberta, where they attended from 2002 to 2006. Mel also pursued further education at Stanford University, where they completed a Continuing Studies program in Business from 2019 to 2020. Additionally, Mel obtained a certification in Global Health Sessions through the Link and Learn Series at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in March 2020. Mel also participated in an exchange program at the Copenhagen Business School, but the start year and end year for that experience were not provided.
