Ali Hosny

Ali Hosny has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. Ali started their career as a Freelancer Android Developer at oDesk in 2009, where they worked until 2011. Ali then joined Youm7 - اليوم السابع in 2012 as an IT Engineer, responsible for the maintenance and development of Youm7.com's local network. Ali also ensured the security and stability of internal systems and tools. In 2013, they became a Software & Infrastructure Engineer at Youm7, handling software development and infrastructure management. From 2014 to 2020, Ali served as an IT Manager at Youm7. Ali played a vital role in designing, planning, and executing the company's IT strategy, including on-premise and cloud infrastructure. During the COVID-19 crisis, they successfully created a work-from-home virtual newsroom for business continuity. Ali also supervised the technical aspects of Youm7 TV, the first digital news tv on Facebook, using the latest IP video technologies. Ali is currently working as the Head of Information Technology at POD Egypt, a position they have held since December 2020.

From 2006 to 2012, Ali Hosny attended Ain Shams University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering.
