Tran Trong Ha

Tran Trong Ha is an engineer at Pod Foods. Before joining Pod Foods, they worked as a full stack developer and data engineer at Shock Media Group from April 2014 to June 2017. As a core team member, they helped build a content delivery network (clicklion.com).

At Shock Media Group, Tran was responsible for both back-end and front-end development. Tran also developed a Python component which automatically extracts titles, body contents, published dates, authors and other metadata from any article HTML page.

Some of the technical challenges Tran faced at Shock Media Group include scrape articles from any website and extracting their metadata, building a ML cluster to analyze millions of articles, web pages and user behaviors to calculate a "relevance score" for the current visitor and the article corpus, and developing an algorithm to score and recommend the highest-scored articles to visitors.

Tran's technology stack at Shock Media Group included MongoDB, Redis, Ruby on Rails, Foundation, HTML, CSS, Javascript, and Python. Tran also used Apache Spark and Go for analytics.

Tran Trong Ha holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
