Sam Copsey

Sam Copsey has a diverse work experience in the telecommunications industry. Copsey's most recent role is as the Director of IoT Sales at Pod Group - A Giesecke+Devrient Company, starting in 2023. Prior to this, Copsey served as the Senior Business Development Manager at Truphone, a global provider of eSIM technology and Connectivity, from December 2019 to January 2023. Before Truphone, Copsey was the Sales Director at Syniverse from January 2018 to November 2019. Copsey also held the position of Sales Director at Teleena (now Tata Communications MOVE) from September 2011 to October 2017, where they focused on providing global data connectivity and managed mobile solutions to various enterprises. In addition, Copsey worked as a Business Development Manager at QiComm, leading their MVNO, VAS, and Carrier Services division from April 2010 to September 2011. Copsey's earlier experiences include roles such as Commercial Director Europe at Tiaggo from June 2009 to October 2010, Commercial Director at Cycell Ltd (now OwnFone) from May 2008 to May 2009, Telecoms Consultant at BNS Telecom Group, Ministry of Sound from May 2006 to April 2008, and Director Carrier Sales Europe at IDT Global, where they managed the profitable growth of the carrier wholesale business in Europe from September 2002 to October 2005. Copsey also served as a Carrier Sales Manager at IDT Global, focusing on enhancing the company's presence in the UK, Dutch, and French wholesale voice markets from May 1999 to September 2002.

Sam Copsey attended The Manchester Metropolitan University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a BA (Hons) Business In Europe degree. In addition, from 1996 to 1997, Sam also studied at Université de Savoie, Chambéry, where they obtained a Licence en Management et Gestion des Entreprises à l’Institut Universitaire Professionnalisé.
